A career law enforcement officer and defensive tactics/officer survival trainer, George is constantly in search of improving performance for police officers, martial artists and athletes. A major part of being able to win life and death confrontations is being in excellent physical shape and being mentally tough. The CrossFit method of training enhances physical conditioning and mental toughness like no other.

George has taught martial arts and police defensive tactics for over 20 years. George has presented classes on various topics of officer survival for law enforcement training organizations such as the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association(ILEETA), the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers(ASLET), TREXPO West and the Western Canada Use of Force Conference. George presented Child Protection Options for the American Woman’s Self Defense Association(AWSDA). George presented at and participated in the National Tactical Invitational (NTI) in 2004.

George has had articles on officer survival training published in The Police Marksman, Law and Order, American Police Beat, The Trainer and The ILEETA Journal. He has filmed instructional segments for the Law Enforcement Television Network(LETN).

George has black belts in the martial arts of kenpo and bo fung do. He is a Brazilian Jiujitsu student, Purple Belt under Renzo Gracie Black Belt, Joe D’Arce. Competed in the 2010 and 2013 Pan Am, No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament, the 2013 Summer Classic Good Fight (gi) and the 2014 Good Fight Submission Only tournament.

George is an Omni Hypnosis certified hypnotist and does Guided Imagery (training the subconscious mind for enhanced performance) sessions for high school and college athletes as well as amateur and professional kick boxers and mixed martial arts fighters.

Finisher of 4 Spartan Races including 2 Spartan Beasts (12+ miles), 1 Super Spartan (8 miles) and Spartan Sprint (4 miles)

4-time competitor at the Northeast Masters Throwdown, 3rd place finish in 2016.

Once upon a time George was a hurdler (Track and Field), played and coached ice hockey, kickboxed and swam in a 2 mile, open water race.

Lisa is an International Powerlifting Association(IPA) world record holder in the Amateur Raw Women’s Master (45-49) , 123lb. weight class.

In 2013 Lisa founded the USAW-recognized Long Island Barbell Club, dedicated to advancing the sport of weightlifting.

Came in 31st place in the 2012 CrossFit Games Open, Masters Women 45-49, out of 797 competitors world-wide.

Has entered and finished 3 Spartan Races, The Beast (8/11), The Super (9/11) and the Sprint (6/12) Finished the 8 mile Super after breaking her leg at the 6 mile mark.

Lisa became a part of the fitness community in 1985 as a personal trainer for Living Well Lady in Brooklyn, NY. Lisa is a retired New York Police Department Detective who continued down the path of fitness training, staying involved in training police officers in her spare time, attending certification courses and educating herself on the topic of human performance. Lisa has competed in 5K races, The Mighty North Fork Triathlon and in 2001 received the Lion heart Award for her performance during the American Society for Law Enforcement Training’s(ASLET) Law Enforcement Skills World Championship.

Lisa was left with nerve damage in her right foot from work-related accidents and a condition known as Reactionary Airway Dysfunction (RADS) from her participation in the recovery effort at Ground Zero after September 11, 2001, yet she continued to train and improve on her strength and conditioning knowledge.

Lisa has co-presented at conferences held by the Illinois Tactical Officers Association(ITOA), the Western Canada Officer Safety Conference and the American Women’s Self-Defense Association(AWSDA).

Lisa competed in the 2010 CrossFit Sectionals and advanced to the Regionals where previously scheduled surgery prevented her from participating.  Lisa advanced to the Masters Qualifier from the 2014 CrossFit Games Open!
